About the Forum
Knowledge Brokering for a Changing World is a gathering place for knowledge brokers across the education system to connect, share, and learn. Over three interactive days, participants will:
- Build connections and strengthen professional identities
- Welcome new voices into the community
- Share tools, frameworks, and strategies that advance practice
- Explore challenges and opportunities facing knowledge brokers today
We invite both emerging and experienced knowledge brokers to join us for this highly collaborative experience.
The EKBN forum is the connection point so many of us knowledge brokers need – especially as a nascent field! It is the only event of its kind that budding knowledge brokers like myself with financial & logistical constraints would be able to feasibly attend.
Theme 1: Navigating Complexity
How do knowledge brokers adapt to a rapidly evolving information landscape? This strand explores the intersection of AI, emerging technologies, future trends, and adaptive leadership within the field.
Theme 2: Building Trust
How do we center humans at the heart of knowledge brokering? This strand focuses on deepening relationships, centering equity, maximizing engagement, and fostering authentic partnerships to promote the production and use of research.
Theme 3: Creating Impact
How do knowledge brokers turn evidence, relationships, and ideas into meaningful action and measurable results? This strand focuses on effective knowledge mobilization, evaluation methods, and approaches for understanding and communicating impact.
Who Should Attend
Professionals from education fields who are working to facilitate the use of research evidence, promote the exchange of knowledge among key interest-holders, and those interested in building professional identity as a knowledge broker. Participants may include:
- Practitioners and leaders in K–12, early childhood, and postsecondary education
- Researchers and evaluators
- Policymakers and agency staff
- Philanthropy and nonprofit leaders
- Community-based and intermediary organizations
- EdTech and innovation specialists
- Writers, editors, and communication professionals
- And others
