SUMMARY:Evidence Synthesis with Educators in Mind
DESCRIPTION:Evidence synthesis research (systematic reviews\, meta-analyses\, and more) offers access to an entire body of literature in one place\, which is appealing for educational decision-makers who want a comprehensive look at evidence before making program and policy decisions. Yet\, studies on the use of research in education offer little evidence of educators actually using synthesis findings. Why does this gap exist and what approaches may help narrow it? These questions will guide the discussions in this knowledge cafe\, along with ideas and suggestions for approaches to bridge the gap. Join Dr. Elizabeth Day\, Assistant Director of Outreach and Research Assistant Professor at the University of Oregon for this presentation! \nRegister Today

SUMMARY:CREATEd Co-design Information Session
DESCRIPTION:Join the CREATEd team at the University of Delaware to learn more about an upcoming funded opportunity for EKBN members to participate in a co-design using the new CREATEd Co-Design Toolkit. Co-design is an approach to collaboration that brings together researchers\, practitioners\, and communication designers as equal collaborators to develop practical solutions to pressing educational challenges. The CREATEd Toolkit – to be publicly released later this fall – is an innovative\, equity-centered process for transforming research into usable\, research-informed resources.  \nLearn more about co-design\, proposal requirements\, and timelines ahead of the full call for proposals in November. Register for the information session on October 29 at 7pm ET. \nRegister Here
